Dark conditions?
Otherwise if you get enough light:
You can try using shorter shutterspeed if possible to freeze the “blur of the water” 1/500 – 1/4000 depending on weather / aperture, unless you were going for that effect.
Another option is to make the shutter speed 3+ seconds to create a more “stream like/smooth” waterfall that often can make really cool results!
And you would also be able to take photos in darker situations without compromising image quality over ISO adjustments..
